New "posting members" group ...

After careful thought & chatting with the Moderators of our forum - & an open topic on the "Suggestions" category - as of today all members with 5 posts or more have been promoted to the "posting members" group.

To view the new section "HUNTING - DIGS / RESEARCH / STORIES" (Anything to do with searching and finding CODDs or CUREs - to help & inspire us all ...) you need to be in this new group.

Also the "MONTHLY FAVOURITES" (competitions) have also been altered so only "posting members" can view it from now on .....


Any gripes or comments then please post them in here ....

GREAT IDEA --- I BELONG TO 3 BOTTLE CLUBS & KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THERE ARE A FEW MEMBERS WHO BELONG TO THIS & OTHER FORUMS WHO ARE TOTAL SNOBS. THEY TAKE GREAT DELIGHT IN MAKING SNIDE COMMENTS TO ME BUT WON'T MAKE ANY POSTS & DO NOT CONTRIBUTE POSITIVELY TO THE HOBBY IN ANY WAY. ALL TAKE & NO GIVE !

Dont have a heck of a lot of knowledge on the Codd front but loveing the chase. I am starting to dream of my first codd find. How sad is that!.

Hopefully my knowledge will improve with time. Have your excellent CD Rom to fall back on for inspiration and advice.

It is a good idea.
I don't mind people seeing what I've posted (I wouldn't post it otherwise).
I know it doesn't do any harm but there is something just a little bit 'not right' about anonymous 'lurkers' and people who join the forum just to read and look and nothing else.
Can't see the point in it myself.

Lodza - dont worry you're allready in it ......... Tell you what if U aint found a complete codd by the summer national - Im gonna bury one in the campsite & tell you where to dig mate
I guess I was kinda lucky - my uncle persuaded me & my dad to go bottle digging when I was 12 - ((35 years ago))
A few weeks later I persuaded him to drop me off on a tip while he went to work - by the time he got back I had found my first Codd which I still have now ((& would nt trade it for that recentley found blue Codd)) !!!
The feeling of finding a codd & getting hold of it and pulling on it - to see if it's complete is something I think we can all relate to - heaven !!

John / Rob (albions child) - I like to think that I don't hold back on any information I have - just trying to make it a bit more of a 2 way thing
